How To: Candied Nuts

This is a very simple candying process that will work for any of your favorite nuts. This recipe can be easily adapted for a smaller or larger bunch.

Candied Nuts
For every 4-5 handfuls of candied nuts, you need:
* 1/2 cup nuts
* 3-4 tablespoons white sugar (depending how sweet you want 'em)
** Feeling festive? Add a small pinch of cinnamon.

Directions
* Combine nuts and sugar in a skillet over medium heat.


* Stir continuously until sugar is melted over nuts, about 2-3 minutes.

* Spread in a single layer on parchment paper to cool.

*  Once cool, break the pieces apart with your hands (if need be).

* I halved the above recipe to make a couple servings for my Springtime Spinach Salad. Here is a great example of one of the uses of your candied nuts:
